Welcome aboard, longshot! We've all been there, done that. Stopping betting just 'cause it's on TV is the hard part. Suggestion: try "paper" bets for the TV/action bets, and see how they would have done. Make sure you track what you bet and why, and you'll have proof to back up your decision. Good luck!

Hi longshot;
It doesn't necessarily make you a rookie but those are rookie mistakes. Still make them myself.
If you have to bet the Jays games maybe try this;
Bet on them when they're a dog and against when a fav.
Just noticed myself they swept Boston as a dog and lost 3 of 4 to Balt as a fav. I haven't double checked this yet but looks quite profitable.
Cheers. Grizz.

I still do it occasionally;
funny thing is - I'm takin a night off, stayin home,
see a game's gonna be on the tube,
bet it,
THEN END UP CHANNEL FLIPPIN AND NOT WATCHIN IT ANYWAY!!!!!

BUT......I have a "TV unit", which is much smaller than my regular unit;
if you're makin a wager for the wrong reason, like because it's on TV, lower your limit and bet a small amount for action...
